PGP Corporate Keys PGP Corporation employs a number of PGP keys to sign software releases PGP Global Directory Verification Key When a key that has been submitted to the PGP Global Directory has its email address verified, the key is signed by the PGP Global Directory's Verification Key just before it is posted. This signature attests to the fact that the email address on the key has been verified by the PGP Global Directory. To ensure that your copy of PGP Desktop trusts keys with this verification signature, you need to download the PGP Global Directory's Verification Key, import it into your copy of PGP Desktop, and set its Trust setting to Trusted. PGP Corporation Release Key The PGP Corporation Release Key is used to sign software releases of all products, including PGP Universal, PGP Desktop, and PGP Command Line. Using this key, you can verify that you are installing authentic PGP software from PGP Corporation. PGP Corporation Beta Feedback Key Those wishing to send us encrypted feedback relating to our software (including source code) should use the Beta Feedback Key. Similarly, where appropriate, messages from PGP Corporation, such as those acknowledging receipt of certain types of messages, will use this key. |
