Phillip Dunkelberger, President & Chief Executive Officer
Member, Board of Directors
Mr. Dunkelberger has extensive technology and security industry expertise. He served as CEO of PGP Inc., the original PGP software startup, and as Vice President of Sales at Symantec Corporation. Most recently, Mr. Dunkelberger served as Entrepreneur-In-Residence at DCM. He also served as President and CEO of Embark, a Web-based recruitment and admissions software company, and as President and COO of Vantive Corporation, a vendor of enterprise customer relationship management (CRM) software products. He serves on Project Arena’s Advisory Board and TechNet’s CEO Cybersecurity Task Force. He is a founding Board member of the Cyber Security Industry Alliance (CSIA) and Co-chair, Education & Alliances. Mr. Dunkelberger has a B.A. in Political Science from Westmont College.
Alex Doll, Senior Vice President Operations & Chief Financial Officer

A co-founder of PGP Corporation, Mr. Doll is responsible for managing the company’s finance, corporate development, alliances, and new market investment and partnering programs. Before helping found PGP Corporation in 2002, Mr. Doll was Senior Vice President of Sales, Business Development, and Support at Embark, a Web-based recruitment and admissions software company. Previously, he was involved in the strategic planning and execution of corporate partnering and investment programs for PeopleSoft Inc., and he held various positions in the financial services industry in Silicon Valley, including the Investment Banking group at Robertson, Stephens & Co. and Technology Research at Dresdner RCM Capital Management. Mr. Doll has a B.S. in Telecom Systems Engineering and a B.S. in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania. He earned his M.B.A. from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
Jon Callas, Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Callas served as Chief Scientist at PGP Inc. and as CTO of the Network Security Division for Network Associates Technologies Inc. Mr. Callas served as Director of Software Engineering at Counterpane Internet Security Inc. and was a co-architect of Counterpane’s Managed Security Monitoring system. Most recently, he was Senior Systems Architect at Wave Systems Corporation. His career includes work at Digital Equipment Corporation, World Benders, and Apple Computer. He is the principal author of the Internet Engineering Task Force’s (IETF’s) OpenPGP standard and a writer and frequent lecturer on system security and intellectual property issues. Mr. Callas has a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Maryland.
Steven Soderberg, Chief Information Officer
Mr. Soderberg joins PGP with over twenty years of information technology experience. Most recently he was with Otis Spunkmeyer Inc. where he served for 3 years as CIO. While at Otis Spunkmeyer, Soderberg led the creation of a centralized server and storage architecture, prepared the IT function for public company reporting and SOX compliance, and architected the ‘next generation’ ERP solution. Prior to Otis Spunkmeyer, Soderberg served for 8 years as Senior Vice President and CIO for The Robert Mondavi Company were he was the architect of WIM (Wine Information Management)—now viewed as the wine industry standard vertical software solution. He has received Content Week’s Intranet Best in Class award as well as a CIO Magazine Web Business Top 50 award for his implementation of ‘Connect’—the Mondavi intranet/extranet platform. A member of the Consortium of Information Systems Executives (CISE) – Silicon Valley, Mr. Soderberg has his B.A in Economics from Stanford University.
Brian Draves, General Counsel
Mr. Draves most recently served as sole in-house Counsel and Director of Legal Affairs at Scale Eight, Inc., a data storage software firm for which he spearheaded corporate development, licensing, and pre-IPO financing. Prior to Scale Eight, he represented a variety of technology companies and venture capital funds as a corporate and securities attorney focused on emerging growth companies at the law firm Cooley Godward LLP. Mr. Draves graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Finance from the University of Puget Sound and earned his J.D. from the University of California Los Angeles School of Law.
Steve Abbott, Vice President Worldwide Enterprise Sales
Mr. Abbott was Director of OEM & International Sales at PGP Inc., where he executed key customer and technology alliances. Prior to joining PGP Corporation, Mr. Abbott held positions as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Vidius Inc. and at FFWD in Silicon Valley. He also held various sales positions at Symantec Corporation, both in the United States and in the United Kingdom. Mr. Abbott has "A Levels" in physics and mathematics from Yuet Wah College in Hong Kong.
Rajiv Dholakia, Vice President Corporate Development
Most recently, as Vice President of Engineering at Cenzic, Mr. Dholakia led the development of tools for assessing, testing, and remediating application security vulnerabilities. Prior to Cenzic, he was Vice President of Product Development and later CTO at ValiCert, a leading provider of secure authentication, messaging, and collaboration software. While at ValiCert, Mr. Dholakia created, implemented, and oversaw the products, secure data center, and solutions that drove ValiCert's annual revenues from zero to $24 million. In addition, he has held executive positions at TestDrive, Taligent/IBM, Sun Microsystems, and IntelliCorp. He has a B.E. in Chemical Engineering from M.S. University in Baroda, India, and did graduate work at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida.
Denise Hayman, Vice President Worldwide Sales
Most recently, Ms. Hayman was Vice President Sales for Vontu, Inc., where she focused on presenting emerging technology offerings in data loss prevention software and services to Fortune 500 enterprises. Previously, she was Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Business Development, for Tripwire, a leading provider of data and network integrity solutions, where she crafted the company’s worldwide sales and channel strategy. Before Tripwire, Ms. Hayman spent 10 years at Symantec Corp., lastly as Senior Director, U.S. Corporate Sales and Marketing, driving 100% annual revenue growth. She has a B.A. from Boston College.
Ron Kisling, Vice President Finance & Controller
Prior to joining PGP Corporation, Mr. Kisling served as Senior Vice President Finance from 2004–2006 for Portal Software (acquired by Oracle in 2006). Previously, he held the positions of Chief Financial Officer from 2002–2004 and Vice President Finance & IT from 2001–2002 at Saba Software. Before joining Saba, he served as Chief Financial Officer from 1999–2001 and Vice President, Controller from 1998–1999 for SPL WorldGroup. Mr. Kisling’s security background includes various positions in the Finance organization at Symantec from 1989–1998, culminating in Vice President, Controller. Mr. Kisling holds a B.A. in Economics from Stanford University.
Jim Adkins, Vice President of Engineering, PGP Corporation
Mr. Adkins joins PGP Corporation with over 20 years of engineering development and management experience and a proven track record of building and managing successful software development teams. Most recently, Mr. Adkins served as Executive Vice President at Opsware, Inc. where he oversaw all engineering, product management, support and IT functions. While at Opsware, he expanded the company’s product offerings from 2 to 8, successfully integrating acquisition technology from Rendition Networks, Creekpath Systems and iConclude. Opsware was acquired by HP in 2007. Prior to Opsware, Mr. Adkins was Senior Vice President at Catapulse, which was acquired by Rational and subsequently IBM, where he was responsible for the architecture, development and management of the Catapulse developer tools. Mr. Adkins’ former management posts also include tenures at Netscape Communications, Actra Business Systems and General Electric. He has a B.S. from David Lipscomb University, Nashville, TN and an M.B.A. from the Jack C. Massey Graduate School of Business, Belmont College, Nashville, TN.
Tim Matthews, Vice President Marketing
Prior to joining PGP, Mr. Matthews was Vice President of Marketing at Ipedo, a leading provider of database virtualization software, where he helped create the category and established Ipedo as a leader. Before starting Ipedo, Mr. Matthews was Director of Product Marketing and Management at RSA Security. While at RSA, Mr. Matthews oversaw product and marketing strategy for all encryption products, and created some of the first industry initiatives to use data encryption in secure e-mail, wireless, and VPN applications, which were implemented industry-wide by leading Internet hardware and software vendors. Mr. Matthews managed the introduction of RSA Java developer tools and its public-key infrastructure products. Prior to RSA, Mr. Matthews worked in international sales at Digital Equipment Corporation in Tokyo, where he was instrumental in helping US and European multinationals establish their Japanese operations. Mr. Matthews received a B.S. in Computer Science from Union College in Schenectady, NY.
Will Price, Chief Architect
Mr. Price was one of the founding members of PGP Inc., where he managed the development organization. Most recently, Mr. Price was Director of Engineering at Network Associates Technologies Inc., where he managed the PGP Corporate Desktop, Wireless, Keyserver, and eBusiness Server development teams. He was an architect for PGP Desktop products, especially the PGP VPN, PGP Firewall, and PGP Intrusion Detection clients. Mr. Price has a B.A. from Pomona College and an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Southern California.
Kathryn Ringewald, Vice President Human Resources
Ms. Ringewald was Vice President Human Resources and one of the founders of Pets.com, where she was instrumental in helping it become one of the fastest-growing companies in the sector. In addition, she was Director of Human Resources at FormFactor Inc., a semiconductor technology company. Ms. Ringewald has also held senior Human Resources positions at LucasArts Entertainment, Symantec Corporation, and Apple Computer. Ms. Ringewald has a B.A. from Dominican University.
Steven Schoenfeld, Vice President Products & Strategy
Most recently, Mr. Schoenfeld was Director of Product Management at Check Point Software Technologies, where he helped grow revenue from $86 million to more than $500 million. While there, he was a member of the company’s Product Council, which oversaw product strategy, execution, and measurement. Prior to Check Point, he was a key member of the management staff for Pretty Good Privacy (PGP)/Network Associates, where he led the strategy, definition, and product management of client and server products into corporate markets. In addition, he has held executive positions in several global financial services organizations, with responsibility for guiding technology, e-commerce, and information systems initiatives. He has a B.A. in Political Science from State University of New York at Stony Brook.
